Bed and Breakfast Kington Herefordshire

Castle Hill House Bed and Breakfast Kington Herefordshire

We are situated in the historic Market Town of Kington in West Herefordshire on the border with Wales. Castle Hill House is conveniently situated on many walking trails such as the Offa’s Dyke.

Our guests will receive a warm welcome along with a cup of tea and treats. You can sit back and unwind in the guest lounge where you will find a selection of books and board games or if you feel like relaxing with a movie in your bedroom, we also have a wide range of DVDs to choose from. Our guestrooms and the lounge are spacious and beautifully furnished and decorated. The house retains many original features and the interior enhances the character of an elegant period property. Breakfast is served in the conservatory where you will enjoy magnificent views across our gardens, Bradnor Hill and the golf course. You can also make use of the large dining table in the guest lounge if you are planning to come as a group.

Walkers are always welcome. For those rainy days, we are more than happy to dry your wet clothes and muddy boots, ready to start your next day’s walk dry and comfortable again. We even offer baggage drop off’s. For more information, please check out our Special Offer’s & Extras page. We accommodate free parking. However, if the driveway is full then there is also on street parking available. Motor bikes and bicycles can be safely parked in our garage.

We would like to make your stay as comfortable as possible, so if there is anything we can help you with just let us know.

Castle Hill House is a beautiful period house built circa 1824 by Benjamin Wishlade for William Greenly of Titley Court as a residence for his Mother in Law. It is set within large landscaped gardens and paddocks. The house offers spacious accommodation and wonderful views across the surrounding countryside. Within the grounds of Castle Hill House flows Back Brook, a tributary of the River Arrow. This provides a lovely riverside location shaded by mature trees offering an idyllic setting for our guests which can be accessed from the bottom of our garden. Castle Hill House is a great place to stay even if it is just for a short stopover.

We pride ourselves as being an eco friendly bed and breakfast. Castle Hill House is mostly self-sufficient in energy. Solar thermal panels heat the water in summer months. The log boiler provides heat and hot water in the winter months and our PV panels provide daytime electricity.
